Throughout the autumn and winter the club organises whitewater river trips approximately once per fortnight, alternating with the pool sesssions. From October to March (GMT) we alternate weekends between a pool session to practice skills and rolling, and white-water trips to rivers such as the Usk, the Upper Wye, the Dart and the Barle.
River trips organised by the committee are listed on the calendar, and are covered by the clubs liability insurance provided as part of our affiliation with British Canoeing (previously the BCU).
River trips organised and promoted by individual members through the clubs Facebook group or other means are peer to peer trips and not covered by the clubs liability insurance. They are paddled at your own risk, although paddlers who are individual members of British Canoeing or Canoe Wales will be covered under their own membership. Peer to peer trips will not be on the website calendar.
All trips are suitable for 2* with minimal portaging or 3* and above without.
