Welcome to Wyedean Canoe Club (WCC) based at Symonds Yat on the River Wye, with its beautiful scenery and famous rapids.
WyeDean Canoe Club is affiliated to the British Canoe Union (BCU). Its non-profit making and run by volunteers. We offer the opportunity for paddlers of all ages to enjoy kayaking and canoeing safely with qualified coaches. The club provides coaching for the BCU Star Tests as well as organised trips that range from local rivers to week long trips abroad.
From March to October (BST) we meet every Thursday evening at Symonds Yat East from 17:30 to play on the rapids and to run courses. As well as river kayaking and canoeing the club has active slalom and sea kayak paddlers. Typically we organise trips to the coast for each bank holiday and a week long summer trip.
From October to March (GMT) we alternate weekends between a pool session to practice rolling and other skills and a white water trip to Wales or the Dart.
